Dr. Gaurav Dixit

Specializing in Information Systems & Decision Sciences, Dr. Gaurav Dixit earned his doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Management Indore and an engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. Previously, he worked in Hewlett-Packard (HP), and Sharda Group.

Gaurav’s research focuses on IT strategy, AI for business, business value of IT, e-commerce, and social value of IT. Recently, he has started developing his research work in the area of neuro-information systems. His research has appeared in quality journals & conferences, including Journal of Cleaner Production, Electronic Commerce Research, Resources, Conservation and Recycling, Sustainable Production and Consumption, Journal of Global Information Technology Management, Journal of Information Technology Management, Academy of Management Conference, International Conference on Information Systems, India Finance Conference, and Indian Academy of Management Conference.

He is currently engaged (as PI or Co-PI) in research projects related to E-Commerce, Big Data Analytics Lab, EEG Lab, Biomass-based renewable energy, and neuro-information systems..

Ashish has over 22 years of experience in building capabilities and culture for data, driving analytics and customer insights into strategic planning and operations in a wide range of organizations. He has partnered closely with senior corporate leaders globally in major retail, telecom, automotive, consumer goods and technology companies to create solutions to address various challenges and
opportunities for the business, using a data-driven approach to analyze customers, products and markets. The key business domains for which he has driven strategic planning include customer engagement and loyalty, sales and marketing effectiveness, advertising/media and new product development.

As part of the leadership roles during his career, Ashish has built and developed several globally distributed high-performing teams. He currently heads the global COE for analytics, and has extensive e-commerce experience across the company’s global operations. Previously he has worked in the US at Microsoft and SABMiller, as well as at marketing consultancies like Young & Rubicam Group and Gallup. He has an undergraduate degree from IIT-Kanpur, and a Masters’ degrees from University of Iowa and Rutgers University.

digital initiatives. In his tenure, he has worked with clients to drive impact on their business by enabling them with innovative AI-led solutions and practices. At Course5 and in his previous organizations, he has launched award-winning and industry recognized practices and solutions. He is currently focusing on leveraging artificial intelligence to disrupt the space of digital and insights. Apart from strong digital domain and analytics background, Anees is certified on Lean Six Sigma and has an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai.
