#TechitLikeHer
#TechitLikeHer – Women in tech – still sounds like an oxymoron? Sadly yes.
In a country diverse country like India, where education and more importantly vocational is still prioritized for the male member of the families. A very popular phrase is “Take it like a Man”, as much as this is an unfair disposition, so is the fact that we see lesser and lesser women in tech and even lesser making it to placements each year, even lesser to leadership positions, and fewer in leadership of tech companies.
We bring forth #TechitLikeHer – a scholarship program with a mind. Instead of being a regular scholarship that grants a certain sum of money for education, WileyNXT aims to bring women to the forefront of their professional journey in the fields of new and emerging technologies. This scholarship is serves women who are studying technology to be job ready from day 1 and the women who are already professionals to be future ready leaders.
Scholarship for Women Professionals
In the latest (2020) fortune 500 list, only 37 out of 500 companies have women CEOs. That's just 7.2% of the leadership positions where women are donning the top hat.
At WileyNXT we'd like to imagine a world with gender inclusive workforces. As many of the challenges that there are standing against gender inclusivity, we aim to arm our future leaders with the best of future forward skills.
For our Executive Education programs we offer the highest scoring women candidate in the entrance assessment a fee waive off, of upto 50%. We understand that a scholarship needs to make a real impact in a learner's professional career than just offer a financial aid. With future ready skills in new and emerging technology and a scholarship that waives off a significant amount of the program fee, not only will our women candidate be ready to lead the world, but will also know that at WileyNXT we had their backs to encourage their talent.
Note: Please contact your program advisor for registering for the scholarship and the terms an conditions.
Scholarship for Women Students
We aim to bring forth a batch of brilliant 100 women who are Job-Ready and Ready to take over the world of technology. 100 brilliant women would then go on to set an example, how vocational training in Java full stack can bring out the best of their engineering degree.
WileyNXT aims to address the lack of inclusivity for girls from difficult financial backgrounds, aspiring for careers in the field of Engineering and Technology. The campaign offers scholarships to final year female students who are yet to secure jobs. Under the Wiley ‘TechitLikeher’ Scholarship, a total of 100 girl students from different cities will get free training on Java Full Stack worth INR 50,000. On successful completion of training and certification, the students will also receive a one-time monetary stipend of INR 11,000. And most importantly, all these candidates shall have assured placement by Wiley in any of its partner companies, with annual salaries ranging between 3-6 lakhs p.a.
This initiative is in alignment with WileyNXT‘s vision to create ‘best in class’ bridge education ecosystem to develop the workforce of the digital transformation era and bring women to play an important role in it.
